Founder and Head Instructor :

Dr. John Minardi BHK, DC.

Dr. Minardi is a 2001 graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. A Thompson Certified practitioner, instructor and consultant, Dr. Minardi is the creator, founder and head instructor of the Thompson Technique Seminar Series. He has made a significant contribution to chiropractic by establishing the neurological and biomechanical rationale underlying Thompson Technique. Dr. Minardi is also a consultant and instructor for the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), offering consultation and demonstration in a module focussed on the Neurology of the VSC, and advanced Thompson Technique for children. He is the author of 'The Complete Thompson Textbook - Minardi Integrated Systems', the most comprehensive textbook ever written on the technique, and 'Technique Toolbox', a monthly column focussed on technique in the Canadian Chiropractor Magazine. Incorporating a step by step breakdown of the technique with the latest research in the fields of neurology and biomechanics, Dr. Minardi has brought this classic technique into the twenty-first century. In 2011, Dr. Minardi was named “Chiropractor of the Year”, an honour awarded to him by Parker Seminars. In addition to his busy lecture schedule, Dr. Minardi operates a successful full-time private practice in Oakville, Ontario.

Dr. Josh Nikkanen, DC.

Dr. Nikkanen graduated Cum Laude from New York Chiropractic College in 2001, and is the sole practitioner of Crossroads Chiropractic and Wellness Clinic in Newmarket, Ontario. Dr. Josh has his pediatric certification with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), and is a certified Thompson Technique practitioner under the Thompson Technique Seminar Series-Minardi Integrated Systems. Dr. Nikkanen often assists Dr. Minardi with the Seminar Series in the Toronto area.


Dr. Jeffrey Cottingame, DC.

Dr. Cottingame is a 2001 graduate of Parker College of Chiropractic, and is certified Thompson practitioner through the Thompson Technique Seminar Series-Minardi Integrated Systems. Dr. Jeffrey has been awarded Chiropractor of the Year in 2004, 2008 and 2010, honours bestowed to him by Parker Seminars, for his outstanding contributions to the chiropractic profession. Dr. Cottingame operates a successful private practice in Durant, Oklahoma, and is part of the Parker Seminars team of speakers. Dr. Cottingame assists Dr. Minardi with the Seminar Series in the southern United States areas.


Dr. David Rick, HBSc, DC, MSc.

Dr. Rick is a 2003 graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He has a passion for dealing with athletes and sports injuries, and is a member of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada). He has obtained his Masters of Science from McMaster University in the field of Human Biodynamics and has studied the benefits of spinal manipulative therapy on cervicothoracic motion in people who have suffered concussions. Dr. Rick has been trained in the newly evolved Thompson Technique – Minardi Integrated Systems, directly from John Minardi, and assists Dr. Minardi with the Seminar Series in the Toronto area. He also maintains a successful private practice in North York, Ontario.


Dr. Evelyne Bruneau, DC.

Dr. Bruneau is a 1986 graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She was past President of the highly notarized “Professional Chiropractic Locum Services”, providing service to all of Ontario and Quebec. After operating a successful family practice in Orleans, Ontario, Dr. Bruneau decided in 2008 to start a new locum service, called Eastern Ontario Locum Service. This enabled Dr. Bruneau to provide locum services in the Eastern Ontario area, while simultaneously raising a busy family. She has worked in over 50 clinics over the past 25 years of Chiropractic service. In addition to her Diversified training, Dr. Bruneau is certified in Thompson Technique through the Thompson Technique Seminar Series-Minardi Integrated Systems. She is passionate to assist Dr. Minardi in sharing this newly evolved technique based on biomechanics and neurology, with other chiropractors.


Mr. John Triantos

Mr. Triantos owns and operates the Techniques Tables manufacturing company, which was established in 2001, and continues to operate in Toronto, Ontario. Dr. Minardi and Mr. Triantos are good friends and consult with each other often, on ways to create more efficient and effective drop pieces for the chiropractic profession. Mr. Triantos is a big supporter of the Thompson Technique Seminar Series – Minardi Integrated Systems, by graciously providing all of the Drop-Piece tables for the seminar. Mr Triantos understands that providing this equipment helps to ensure that participants gain tremendous hands-on practice within the seminar series, sharpening their individual skills, and providing Mr. Triantos immediate feedback on his special set of Technique Tables.
